"After you've completed your registration, you will receive one of these cultivation plots. Botanic magicians have a special training method to enhance their magic powers, which involves spending time growing plants. Additionally, these plants can be sold for money and points since botanic magicians lack offensive powers and thus cannot take on missions to fight monsters," the practice instructor briefly explained the place after noticing Ellie's interest.

The girl nodded without saying anything. She had a secret dimension from the Setter family and plenty of money to spend, meaning she didn't need to sell vegetables for money. However, she knew she still had to take good care of her vegetable plot for points.

"But don't worry too much. Some botanic magicians are lucky enough to bond with plants that have combat abilities. If they have combat powers, they can still join various groups to undertake missions to earn more points," the young male practice instructor kindly added. The female instructor had left after Nara had split off. She said she would report to the institute about the power measurements, indicating that both had passed level 2 and should officially be students here, though her real intent was just to get away from the two poor country folks.

Soon, Ellie was brought to a large room, the tallest dome in the place, filled with various plant species, creating the impression of being in a real forest.

"This is the room of the only professor dedicated to the element of botany here. If you have any questions, you can ask him here," Ellie nodded again and followed the practice instructor inside.

The vibrant atmosphere filled with life force made the girl's hands itch. She wished she could create a world so full of trees. Unfortunately, it wasn't her time yet; her modest magic power, just enough to grow the Tezetrons plant over 1 palm length, wasn't sufficient for grand dreams.

It didn't take long before they met the tall figure of the room's owner, who was happily pruning plants in his glass dome. Clearly, he was aware of their arrival but simply uninterested.

"Professor Medik, there is a botanic elemental student here who needs to bond with a plant," the young instructor announced. The man pruning the branches turned around.

When Ellie saw his stunning face, she was taken aback. If Nara, the story's heroine, could make a young man's heart feel at ease, Professor Medik's beauty could make any man's heart beat erratically.

"Are you a scholarship student?" The deep voice of the man before her made Ellie pause. Her brows furrowed, though she knew it was impolite, but the shock made it hard for her to control herself.

"My name is Medik. I am a botanic elemental professor, and I’m...a man," the man in front of her said after noticing Ellie's reaction. The practice instructor in front of her bowed his head to hide a smile. How could he not chuckle when Professor Medik's identity was so unique? His face was as beautiful as a woman's. Even he had almost fallen for him at their first meeting, thankfully saved by the man's deep voice; otherwise, he might have suffered a heartbreak from falling in love with another man.

Not just him, but many students at the institution unanimously agreed that Professor Medik was too beautiful, surpassing even women, and causing many to experience heartbreak for the first time. Despite this, many men admired him and couldn't bring themselves to give up, evidenced by the numerous suitors who continuously flirted with Professor Medik, much to his annoyance.

It's not surprising that lately, the professor had chosen to isolate himself within his own botanical dome, primarily to escape from people.

"I apologize, Professor. My name is Ellie, and I'm from the country of Set."

"Mmm, a scholarship student practicing botanical magic?"

"Yes, Professor," Ellie replied politely and straightforwardly, her words measured and precise, which garnered the young professor's interest.

    "What about your power level?"

"Mid-level two, sir," the practice instructor answered her.

"Oh, already at mid-level two? That's quite talented."

"Thank you, sir," Ellie responded. She glanced at the professor, who had moved past her and stopped at his large desk, searching through a pile of documents.

After a moment, Professor Medik's expression cleared with relief as he finally found the magical script he was looking for. If he had lost it again, his salary might not have sufficed.

"The element of botany is similar to other elements. For example, the fire elemental user. Not all of them can use every fire spell; they are only suited for certain spells. Finding suitable spells for other elements can be even harder than for our botanical element."

"In the past, someone discovered a set of magical scripts that helped botanic magicians form bonds with the most compatible plants. Our botanical magic didn't have a proper usage method and was regarded as lowly. But after discovering these beneficial scripts, it greatly elevated the status of botanic magicians."

"We categorize botanical magic into 2 types, which are offensive and supportive. The supportive type is quite varied."

"But don't worry that your powers are as worthless as people say. Even if you bond with a small grass plant, if trained well, that small grass can be used to feed animals and can be quite profitable."

Professor Medik tried to encourage her, but Ellie felt that the more he spoke, the more disheartened people became.

What good was botanic power if it's just used to summon grass for feeding animals? Did he really think that this could be a grand dream for children? They called such power useless trash, especially for those who weren't scholarship students, which constituted about 99% of this institution.

Their families were already wealthy; otherwise, how could they afford to send their children here? And to think that they were training them to be grass farmers for feeding animals—did they seriously believe that this was a good life path for them?!

"Well, let's not get into more details now. Let's start by awakening your powers," the professor changed the subject upon seeing the student's face.

Professor Medik's slender and beautiful hands, more graceful than a woman's, handed Ellie the magical script. She pursed her lips slightly before following the professor's instructions.

She poured her own magic power into the script with an anxious heart. Ellie didn't remember much from the novel about this heroine's friend, so she was uncertain what kind of plant this girl could bond with.

Ellie felt as though the magic power in her palm was being drawn out more and more, until a dizzying confusion overcame her. The last scene Ellie saw was Professor Medik summoning a large vine to wrap around her body, then turning to discuss some details with the practice instructor, before her consciousness faded away.

In a complex dream, Ellie found herself transformed into a mere translucent form, floating in a room of emptiness. She drifted around before encountering some surprising creatures. They stood watching Ellie with interest. As she floated past them one by one, she saw a large purple dome ahead. Ellie thought she should rest on that highest dome for a while, but who would have thought that the large purple dome would sway as if it were dancing.

Her green, translucent form had to float out uncontrollably. Finally, she clearly saw that the dome was actually a creature shaped like a giant mushroom. It was a soft purple, almost like a painting, yet it wasn't exactly a mushroom either. Ellie could clearly see that they had eyes, mouths, and even stout arms.

Realizing she was in a dream, she turned to look more closely at the other strange creatures. Eventually, she discovered that they all looked like plants but were unique because they had eyes, mouths, and even limbs like human.

Ellie clearly saw that they were quite friendly, but in her feelings, the purple mushroom was the cutest. She reached out to touch its stout hand, and after it touched her back, the large purple mushroom gradually shrank in size and suddenly zoomed toward her forehead, causing her to stagger backward. That's when Ellie woke up!

The first thing Ellie saw after opening her eyes was the large branches covering the dome, while the sky had turned dark. She could hear people moving not far away, and when she looked at the tall figure, the owner of the beautiful face was looking back at her.

    "Awake now?"

"Professor Medik." Ellie was startled, jumping up when she remembered why she was here. Initially, she had thought that all that had passed was just a dream. Who would have thought that she would still wake up in Ellie's body?

"How was it? Did you dream of anything?" The beautiful professor asked with a friendly smile. Ellie was still disoriented, but Medik didn't press her, making the situation less awkward. He engaged Ellie in conversation to ease the atmosphere.

Perhaps because Ellie was a girl and Professor Medik preferred girls over the boys who frequently pestered him with romantic advances, so he did not reserve his demeanor as he had when the practice instructor was still present.

"All the plants you saw will be your power in the future. With every level up, you will have the chance to bond with 1 of the plants you saw in your dream, but that doesn't mean you'll be acknowledged at every power level."

"I dreamt of 4 different plants, but after the first time I bonded with a plant, no other plant wanted to bond with me. Now I'm at level 5, yet I've only managed to bond with just one type," the young professor said with an amused smile, and this information took Ellie by surprise.

    "The plants I dreamt of?"

"Yes, or did you see only one type? But that's not a problem. Many students, like you, see only one type. That's a good thing, isn't it? Instead of living with false hopes and being disappointed every time like me, you can focus on the one plant you have. That way, you'll definitely become stronger and progress."

"Many say that seeing many plants in your dream indicates that our power of botany is compatible with many plant types, allowing the chance to bond with many. But ultimately, in one's life, you can only bond with 1 or 2 types at most. So, whether you dream of many or few doesn't really matter, does it?"

The beautiful professor offered these comforting words, yet Ellie felt there was a hollow ring to them. She wanted to whisper to him that if he wasn't good at consoling people, maybe it would be better if he stayed silent.
