Prologue
In the vast lands under the heavens, many regions and tribes were divided, each governed by their own leaders according to their customs.
The more powerful large lands were often ruled by individuals known as the Emperor, revered as celestial heirs, while the smaller lands typically governed themselves through tribal chiefs or regional Wang[1], yet still reported to the stronger Emperor above them.
Beyond the royal power and varied governing systems, there were supreme martial artists scattered across the lands, establishing the sects, quietly working for the upper classes, and making substantial earnings to support their livelihoods. Among them was the Xian Yong Shi Sect, a faction teeming with lethal assassins who had long infiltrated underground organizations.
The leader of this sect was a formidable woman of the realms,
Named Shan Shan.
This woman, known as a demoness, bore scars that clearly indicate her blood-soaked past; even her face retained no trace of femininity.
Her eyes were dark with densely packed red veins, resembling a demon. A swollen scar, like a centipede, stretched across her face from her forehead to the tip of her chin. Her lips were split and jagged, her nose twisted and misshapen.
Shan Shan possessed extraordinary skills in assassination, adept at transforming anything around her into lethal weapons at will, easily mastering every martial art she encountered. She showed no interest in beauty or aesthetics.
Aside from mastering Deadly Palm technique, she secretly trained in the art of Myriad Poisons, Demonic Breath, Divine Assassination Breath, Dangers of Women technique, and vicious Dark Sorcery.
She was truly adept in all malevolent arts, capable of killing cold-bloodedly in an instant.
Yet, unfortunately, despite her formidable capabilities, her heart remained that of a sensitive young woman who had never known love, focused only on training and killing. That was until one day, a handsome man smiled at her.
Shan Shan, who had never been smiled at before, unexpectedly received this smile from a young man, sparking love at first sight and an obsession that left her head over heels. However, he already had a beloved wife. Nevertheless, Shan Shan was indifferent. She disregarded morals and had no shame before heaven and earth, determined to claim this man for herself.
Shan Shan wickedly planned to cause the wife to terribly misunderstand her husband, intending to capture him and plot the wife’s murder.
She truly embodied a villainous, sinister heart just by harboring such thoughts.
But above the sky, there was a higher sky, and above the clouds, there was the blazing sun.
The lowly deeds of Shan Shan become known to her master through their spiritual connection.
Master Xian Yong Shi was the teacher of Shan Shan.
He was the one who had forsaken the bloody path of martial world, turning away from the demon’s way, and choosing the way of the immortals, cultivating noble virtues. He therefore left the sect for Shan Shan to manage.
He was a pillar as strong and bold as the mountains of the realms, more formidable than Shan Shan and more ruthless than anyone else.
In the end, not only did Shan Shan fail to obtain the man she desired, but she also failed to separate him from his wife, as her master had already dealt with her before she could.
Her life could not be preserved…
A ruthless disciple, would her master be kind?
With Master Xian Yong Shi's Soul-sucking technique, Shan Shan's soul was ripped from her body. As she died, she heard the resonating words of the master:
"Make sure to atone properly, this life shall not be wasted."
Truly, he became a demon who turned into a celestial saint...
For she must atone, supporting the world with virtue,
A demoness who changed heart, creating goodness to offset her sins,
Thus, Shan Shan had to inhabit the body of a foolish, exceedingly naive young woman, whose life was most disgraceful and wretched.
Behold! How my master punishes me…this demoness!
