In the vastness of space, surrounded by darkness, unbeknownst to anyone, the spirit of one person speeded along a path of darkness at high velocity.

It's merely energy traveling in another dimension, unable to be touched or perceived.

"Where will our destination be? The past, the future, or the void?" his voice echoed.

He was the five-star scientist himself.

    [Energy levels down to 99%.]

The voice of Yo, the advanced AI, resounded in his head, a quantum computer ten times more advanced, or level 10.

What is level 10 quantum? It's the processing power reduced to just one-tenth of a level 9 quantum.

    Computers are categorized into:

    Pre-quantum and post-quantum eras.

The pre-quantum era was divided into 10 levels, with 2017 being at level 10, moving into the quantum era by 2050. Computers evolved far beyond imagination.

And with the technology from the visitors or the Dark Empire, we entered level 5 of the quantum era.

Up to the current era, every spaceship of the Federation used level 9 quantum, an invention by the brilliant minds across the Federation.

As for level 10. only he had possessed it, as he did not want to reveal his hand to anyone, not even to those he trusted.

Considering what just happened, this journey to the border region was supposed to be a secret, known only to the high ranks. Even with this station’s defenses, regular patrol units cannot break in.

Even a fool could guess that this mission, there was a Judas in our midst.

    [Energy levels down to 98%.]

    [Energy levels down to 97%.]

Yo's voice kept getting louder as the light ahead gradually brightened, from initially just a bean-sized glowed to now the size of a fingernail.

'Traveling must have consumed a lot of Yo's energy.' Apart from housing a level 10 quantum processing system, Yo was also filled with energy equivalent to an entire sun.

    [Energy levels down to 96%.]

    The voice continuously persisted.

And when the light was as big as a door,

    [Energy levels down to 8%.]

And when my hand could finally touch it,

    [Energy levels down to 1%.]

    My consciousness flickered out.

    ...

"Hin, Hin, are you okay?" a voice called out.

A young man named Hin, 180 cm tall with white skin and black hair, wearing a basketball outfit, was lying on the ground. In front of him stood Ton, his friend.

"Ouch, my head hurts like crazy," Hin groaned. He looked around. 'Where is this??' Yes, he was that scientist.

"Are you okay? We need to get back to the game. We're down by 20 points. If we lose, it's over for us," Ton's voice rose.

I looked around. Now, I was surrounded by basketball players wearing the same uniform as me.

They helped me to a seat.

[The journey was successful. Congratulations, sir. Energy remaining is 1%.]

The voice in my head announced.

'So, we've arrived?' I wondered, turning to look at Ton, who was anxiously staring at the scoreboard.

[Yo, analyze this world.] I said internally.

[Insufficient energy. Currently, only basic calculations can be performed,] Yo responded.

I was slightly stunned, looking around again.

"Ouch," suddenly, a pain surged into my brain.

    Memories flooded in.

[Please bear with it, sir. I'm tuning.]

    [Hurry up.]

I gritted my teeth against the pain that continued to race through my brain.

    "Hin, Hin?" Ton called.

    The memories kept flashing.

"Ton?" I called out to him. Memories about him and myself gradually merged.

    [Done, sir.] Yo announced.

[Yo, calculate the court, find a way to win.] I spoke. Now, having regained Hin's memories, this was a basketball competition in 2014, selecting representatives for the province.

    [Understood.]

Then, knowledge about playing basketball on this court was uploaded into my brain.

[Needs tuning, but I think it's possible.]

The referee signaled us to return to the court.

I stood up, along with my team and the opposing team.

The referee threw the basketball, and the opposite team got it. I stood in position, but the opposing team managed to break through instantly.

    2 points for them.

The ball came to our team. We passed it around before it reached to me in a 3-point shooting position.

Without anyone expecting, Yo calculated the trajectory, weight, and force.

    I jumped and shot.

"3 points??" Everyone on the court was shocked.

    The ball slowly curved.

    Bang.

    It missed.

"Damn, thought it would go in. There's a thin line between bravery and stupidity, idiot," a player from the opposing team whispered in my ear.

I didn't like that at all.
